Technological Innovations Applied to Sports Performance

Many academy matches are digitally recorded, and players’ performance and decision-making are analyzed by the coaching and video analysis team.

A professional data management system is used to track match and training statistics, scores, and evaluations.

All collected data is communicated to players and their parents through player access to their profile in the data management system.

The academy uses the latest GPS system that teams can use on training and match days, which are then analyzed and recorded in the players’ data management system for review.

A comprehensive report is provided to players to highlight where and how they need to develop as players, to increase understanding of their soccer career trajectory and enhance the understanding between coach and player.

Our program stands out from other academies in several ways

  • The academy has strong links with professional clubs in the UK and abroad.
  • Scouts from various professional clubs regularly attend academy matches.
  • Weekly video analysis sessions for comprehensive and continuous player evaluation, with information shared with professional clubs to secure player trials.

I came to High Performance Academy Leicester from Nigeria to complete my secondary education, and now I study Engineering at the University of Birmingham. I have greatly enjoyed living in England and experiencing English culture. I have also greatly appreciated the opportunities I’ve had to visit Europe from England. The college’s trips to Europe are a great idea: Barcelona was fantastic.
