The Background of the Multi-Adventure Camp in England

The Academy that offers this Multi-Adventure Camp in England was founded in 1988 by Bram Van Asselt, a former top hockey player who later went into sports management and training.

35 years on, the school now provides one of the best sports training and English language learning experiences in the UK.

Since its founding, the Academy's vision has been centered around providing coaching blended with English language learning and a cultural exchange between students of many different nationalities.

The Academy provides a fully balanced blend of sports training and English language teaching that enables students to discover new skills, learn to interact in a new language, and have great fun in first-class facilities.

Training

The training focuses on multi-sport activities. These encompass a variety of outdoor activities in the form of field trips, as well as other sports held on-site at Clayesmore.

The students will be able to enjoy activities such as kayaking, rock climbing, zip lining and other high-adrenaline activities. Naturally, all activities are safety-approved and instructors are fully trained to ensure the safety of the students and to prevent any type of accident.

In addition, students will also have nature exploration sessions, getting to know the local fauna and flora, learning about environmental conservation and developing a deep feeling for the conservation of nature and ecosystems.

On Saturdays, students go on recreational trips to different locations depending on their interests. In turn, on Sundays they have cultural excursions to learn about British culture and history by visiting cities such as Oxford or Cambridge.

Coaches

This Multi-Adventure Camp in England is staffed by qualified personnel both in the area of sports recreation and in the English language teaching sector.

The Academy is certified by the British Council to teach English classes in the United Kingdom. For the record, the British Council is the international organization that oversees cultural relations and educational opportunities within the country.

Besides that, the camp is also part of English UK and Young Learners English UK, associations that are especially interested in teaching English to young people between the ages of 7 and 17 years old.

The camp is designed in such a way as to ensure that that there is always one teacher for every 14 students enrolled. This ensures that each student has the necessary attention and supervision to be able to fully enjoy the course and not feel left out of any of the activities.

The coaching staff includes tutors to supervise students in their accommodation and common areas, medical personnel, lifeguards, and professional coaches.

Languages Classes

The camp is conducted entirely in English. One of the great strengths of this Multi-Adventure Camp in England is that students will learn English and improve their English language skills throughout their time there.

Students will have three different English lessons each day to develop their proficiency and abilities in the language, broadening their vocabulary and improving their accuracy in spoken and written English.

These classes focus on vocabulary building, developing the student's ability to understand grammar and improving their English pronunciation. There will also be practical speaking, listening and reading exercises based on relevant topics from everyday life.

Students will have the chance to practice their English with other students in different leisure activities, and they'll be supervised by teachers who will keep an eye on their progress and their communication skills.

At the end of the camp, the students will all receive a certificate to confirm that they have successfully completed this academic aspect of the camp.
